Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will examine the epigenetic regulation of the paternal genome and subsequent role in embryo development in the Luense Lab at Texas A&M University.
Contribute to research projects focused on the mechanisms that establish the paternal epigenome and how it subsequently regulates embryo development. Responsible for leading research with mammalian animal model systems. Use multi-omic approaches to investigate the paternal and embryonic epigenomes. Have ample opportunities to collaborate with investigators and partners from various institutions.
Assist with writing grant proposals, manuscripts, and presentation of research results at academic symposiums/lab meetings.
Train junior lab members.
RequiredEducation and Experience:
- PhD in reproductive biology, cell and developmental biology, genetics, or similar field
- Molecular biology experience.
- Animal research
- Conducting statistical analyses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate results, interpretations, and recommendations and answer complex questions internally and externally.
- Willingness to participate in meetings with stakeholders/industry representatives.
