Responsibilities
  • 40% - Design, perform and analyze experiments to study the structure/function relationships of assigned proteins from Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other organisms.
  • 10% - Cloning and expression of proteins of interest.
  • 20% - Purification of proteins in sufficient quantity to obtain crystals. Crystallization of proteins. Data collection and analysis.
  • 10% - Preparing data for grant application
  • 10% - Monitoring and quality control of drug library. High-throughput drug screens. Assist with laboratory management of stocks, supplies and equipment.
  • 5% - Communicating and conducting collaborations with pharmaceutical partners
  • 5% - Training students and other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight years of related experience.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Position Funding

This position is grant funded and availability is contingent on grant funding.
