Responsibilities- Conduct research under general supervision in the candidate’s field of expertise, applying skills to complete projects.
- Prepare and clean research data for analysis; perform quantitative analyses and summarize findings.
- Write and contribute to research papers, articles, and publications; prepare tables, graphs, and visuals; develop Methods and Results sections for deliverables.
- Co-lead at least one 12-month rural health-focused project identified by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, and provide support for other SRHRC projects.
- Mentor, assist, and supervise student researchers and graduate students; prepare and present research materials to small and large groups; assist in creating dissemination materials and posters.

Education and Experience:
Appropriate doctoral degree. - Preferred Qualifications:
PhD with a focus in health policy, public health, demography, geography, sociology, or related discipline; experience using STATA; familiarity with HCUP data; demonstrated excellence in methods/statistics, including analysis of survey, claims, or qualitative data. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively in a fast-paced, policy-relevant environment.
