Job DescriptionThe Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct and publish original research on visual attention under the supervision of the PI. Key responsibilities include developing innovative experimental concepts, designing and programming studies, conducting MRI experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals. In addition, the Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to ongoing research projects and provide mentorship to junior lab members.
Opportunitiesto Contribute
- Conducts original research and provides support for ongoing projects under the guidance of the PI.
- Generates novel experimental concepts, designs and programs experiments, and analyzes data to interpret results.
- Disseminates research findings under PI guidance through manuscript writing and editing for peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
- Mentors a small team of undergraduate research assistants on assigned projects and provides ad hoc guidance to graduate students in collaboration with the laboratory manager.
- Appropriate Ph.D.
- Ph.D in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Strong publication record, including first-author papers utilizing fMRI.
- Proficiency with fMRI methods.
- Experience with eye tracking.
- Strong programming skills.
- Research interests that compliment those of the PI.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.
