What we want The Postdoctoral Research Associate works with a research team of several research grants/contracts within the public health field. Works with researchers to manage community programs, develop and monitor research protocols, analyze data, prepare reports and presentations, and disseminate information to a national audience through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Schedule:
College Station, TX/Full-Time
- Project Research Designs data collection tools (reporting systems, surveys, etc.), research program management, and reporting protocols
- Conducts collection and analysis of data, particularly utilizing Qualtrics and or Red Cap survey software/programming and statistical packages, and keeping the detailed data secure and recorded
- Assists research team in designing, planning, and conducting project evaluations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Project Reporting Examines and summarizes research project results
- Prepares and writes project reports and deliverables
- Dissemination of Project Findings
- Summarizes results for scientific and clientele-oriented publications
Education and Experience
Appropriate PhD in public health related field (e.g. health education, health services research, health sciences, health behavior, epidemiology)
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with public interventions across the life-course, especially with youth
- Familiarity with implementation research
- Ability to be day-to-day program lead for an observational or intervention study
- Two years of related experience in data analysis and/or management
- Documented experience in manuscript preparation, submission, and acceptance in peer-reviewed journals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and accountable environment
- Ability to work independently and guide all analytic aspects of project work
- Ability to provide support to lead scientists throughout the project life cycle
- Ability to support drafting materials for project related content as well as internal research
- Ability to summarize research findings and identify key information of interest.
- Ability to provide support about study design, database, and statistical methodology
- Ability to prepare reports (including peer-review publications) and presentations of data and analyses
- Database design for clinical research and cohort studies
- Programming/coding proficiency in statistical software
- Savvy importing/exporting data between various systems/platforms
- Experience working with individuals and communities.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Has knowledge and expertise in public health interventions with experience in social, behavioral, technological, or environmental programs, policies, or practices including:
Ability to conceptualize, implement, and evaluate research protocols for public health studies in real world community, clinical, or corporate settings. Possesses project management skills (e.g., previously conducting and coordinating public health related research) Possesses statistical skills, publication skills and health-related field knowledge. Ability to write scientific papers and reports including data collection and data analysis Proficiency using SAS, SPSS, R, and/or STATA statistical software Ability to analyze and interpret various forms of cross-sectional, longitudinal, and health-related data Familiarity with database development, design, and/or management Familiarity with MS office apps including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Working knowledge of programming in SAS, SPSS, R, and/or STATA Familiarity with participating in and applying for grant funding in public health, or a closely related field
