Research Assistant

Position Information
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process biological samples for research projects.
- Perform molecular laboratory procedures, including DNA extraction, qPCR assays, and data collection.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and support timely completion of project objectives.
- Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
- Support laboratory organization, equipment coordination, and compliance with institutional environmental health and safety requirements.
- Provide general research and laboratory support as needed.
- Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's in Entomology or a related biological science.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's in Entomology or a related biological science.
- Molecular bench work experience, handling samples for molecular processing, applied biotechnology, biochemistry analysis.
Required Skills, Knowledge or Abilities:
- Nucleic acid extraction, PCR and post-PCR molecular analysis.
