Part-Time Optician – Sam’s Club Optical

Location: Sam’s Club Optical (College Station, TX)
Position Type: Part-Time
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 – $25.00*

Our Sam’s Club Optical Team is looking for a dedicated and member-focused Part-Time Optician to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional service to our members by assisting with eyewear selection, processing prescriptions, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming Optical department.

• Greet and assist members by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate optical products and services
• Support purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve member concerns
• Verify prescriptions and complete eyewear and contact lens orders accurately
• Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses
• Collect payments for optical products and orders

• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, cleaning, and organizing displays
• Ensure proper signage, pricing, and security of merchandise
• Remove damaged goods and identify shrink opportunities
• Maintain the Optical sales floor through zoning, organization, and cleanliness
• Handle claims and returns according to company policies
• Receive and stock merchandise while completing required logs and documentation

• Operate cash registers and related equipment
• Process purchases, payments, refunds, and exchanges accurately
• Follow procedures for different membership and payment types

• Strong customer service mindset and positive attitude
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Optical or retail experience preferred (but not required)
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
