Sampler Technician, Eurofins Environment Testing Ecotoxicology, College Station, TX

Employment Type: Part‑time (not to exceed 34 hrs per week, shifts on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, hours may vary)

Compensation: $18 – $21 per hour (DOE)

Location: College Station, TX – collecting samples in/near the area and shipping to the Carrollton, TX lab. Candidates within commutable distance to College Station, TX are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect, document, package, and ship samples in accordance with project‑specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols.
• Assist with routine and non‑routine data collection for environmental monitoring programs, which may involve hazardous material/waste project sites.
• Assist with routine sample preparation and/or analyses, generally on site, in support of mobile laboratory operations or screening surveys.
• Complete documents and maintain quality control of all assignments.
• Follow and enforce company health and safety policies.
• Follow technical instructions and guidance.
• May be required to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree and/or background in sciences preferred.

Experience and Qualifications:

• May require training in site remediation and hazard protection.
• Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). required for shipping hazardous chemicals within 90 days of hire.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license required to drive delivery vehicles.
• Local, state, or additional client certifications may be required based on location and client request.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding management of potentially hazardous waste facilities.
• Ability to read maps and follow directions.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
