Responsibilities:
- Perform analyses of soil, plant, and water samples using various instruments and processes in place at the facility.
- Prepare extracting solutions and calibration standards related to the analyses performed as appropriate.
- Maintaining records related to process/instrument performance, be able to recognize when quality control measures are satisfactory or not, and for the transfer of acceptable raw data to the database for eventual reporting to submitting clients.
- Maintenance of clean work spaces, sample login, sample grinding and sample archive maintenance
- Other duties as assigned.
Required
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Soil Science or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment, scientific apparatus, and computer equipment.
- Ensure attention to detail. Able to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
