The Web Applications Developer II plans and develops new and current web functionality and applications. Provides support and maintenance on new and current applications, gathers and analyzes requirements from university departments, faculty, and staff, ensures all web functions are accessibility compliant, incorporates responsive web design and technology into all site development, and manages web development using revision control software. The position reports to the Agency Program Manager.
Although this position is potentially eligible for telecommuting, it is required to work at our Headquarters (College Station, TX) for the first year. Relocation expenses are not covered.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Four years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web‑based applications and consulting/strategy of web development/programming and responsive web development.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Will consider an Associate’s Degree with six years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases and responsive web development, or a High School Diploma/GED with eight years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases and responsive web development.
