Driver Trainee

Complete training to earn Commercial Drivers License and become a district bus driver.

Ability to obtain a valid Texas commercial driver's license within allotted time

Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively

None

Work with transportation staff to successfully complete CDL training

Perform duties of a Bus Monitor as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for the position.

Students

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around vehicles and machinery with moving parts; moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes.

Must be able to evacuate self and students out of the bus in case of an emergency.
