• Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Assistant is involved in Warehouse operations to support crew operations and ensure proper audit record of inventory materials, as well as assisting with maintenance of the Utility Service Center (USC) grounds and facilities.
• Utilize inventory management software to issue material required by various City staff.
• Unload, receive, verify, and stock incoming material against vendor purchase orders.
• Reconcile discrepancies or errors in shipments with vendors and buyers.
• Pull materials per Pick Ticket records for crews.
• Issue and deliver office supplies to various City departments.
• Provide guidance and training to part-time personnel.
• Complete weekly inspections on Warehouse vehicles and lifting trucks.
• Perform inventory cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory information.
• Maintain the general upkeep and organization of the Utility Warehouse and USC grounds and facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of inventory control processes
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to operate a Forklift

Preferred:

• Backhoe operating experience
