This is a remote/ rotational position, working on the North Slope of Alaska. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided.

Job Purpose:

The General Foreman is responsible for the safety, scheduling, direction, coordination and supervision of Contractor's craft personnel and equipment resources to accomplish field support work in a safe, environmentally responsible, and productive manner. This position provides motivation and direction to the project team(s), typically through field foreman, working leads and dispatch team.

Decisions made in this position have an impact on the resource requirements, scope/schedule/sequence of project activities, client and/or team satisfaction, risk profile, quality, health/safety/environment, and financial performance of multiple projects.

The General Foreman is also responsible for leading by example and acting in accordance with our values and guiding principles in alignment with the client's vision.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Plans and supervises workforce which may consist of field foreman, working leads, dispatch team and/or craft in performance of assigned work activities. This may include determination of manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedules and documentation of actual hours worked.

  • Coordinates assigned work with other groups or departments, different crafts, or other contractors.

  • Maintains liaison with client management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure that work complies with drawings, specifications, regulations, and schedules.

  • Assists in resolving performance problems, such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc., as required.

  • Supports management in decision making, development and implementation of specific guidelines, procedures, policies, and measurable goals to help achieve company HSE and efficiency objectives.

  • Provides HSE guidance and leadership to their team leaders.

  • Interface with H.R. representatives to maintain communications, resolve disputes, requisition required personnel, recommend, and administer coaching and counseling sessions and deliver disciplinary action as required.

  • Monitors training and compliance with client and company safety and environmental procedures and policies, documents and ensures that corrective measures are implemented when required.

  • Maintains direct regular contact with client representatives to determine their work requirements and can positions the workforce to respond.

  • Recommends cost reduction ideas, offers comments on other suggestions as requested. Ensures subordinates are encouraged to manage all resources with a view towards cost reduction.

  • Routinely performs safety and productivity observations, shop, field, and vehicle inspections. This position is required to attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.

  • Reports to management and clients on the progress of all program activities, including significant milestones, and conditions that would affect program cost or schedule, including significant project challenges and delays

  • Must demonstrate support for the company's environmental management system objectives and the ability to maintain positive support with our contract objectives and goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage business operations including budgeting, personnel management, forecasting, bidding, and proposal development and presentations.

  • Knowledge of the preparation of project bids and the proposal process.

  • Knowledge of work planning and scheduling processes to deliver cost control and cost reductions.

  • Ability to coordinate own and others' actions, manage own time and manage personnel resources.

  • Possesses a basic understanding and knowledge of the terms and conditions of contracts, including the scope of work and associated client deliverables.
