Purpose of Position
Provide installation, maintenance, and optimization of state‑of‑the‑art telecommunications Voice and Data Networks and equipment for oil and gas Companies and their contractors in the North Slope, Offshore, Open Water Platform, and Remote Arctic Exploration Regions. Ensure reliable Connectivity and operational Excellence, including oversight of restoration Operations as assigned.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, test, upgrade, and maintain telecommunications Systems and equipment, including Central Office Equipment, Desktop Computing, Digital Microwave Radios, Fiber Optic Cable, Digital Carrier Networks, DACS, Telephony, LAN/WAN (Cisco Routers and Switches), Cat 5 Wiring, V‑SAT, Wi‑Fi Systems, and Airspan Wireless Communications.
- Perform on‑site Installation, testing, Maintenance, Outage Prevention, and Service Restoration for all phases of System Deployment.
- Prioritize workload and competing Requirements to meet deadlines.
- Provide updates to Service Delivery Managers, Clients, and Internal Partners as necessary.
- Maintain and update accurate documentation of System Configurations, Maintenance Activities, and Service Restoration Procedures.
- Ensure Compliance with Company Standards, Safety Requirements, and Industry Best Practices during all Installation and Maintenance Activities.
- Provide Technical Support for Configuration and Testing of Telecommunication Systems, including Site Surveys, Diagnostics, and Rapid Resolution of Technical Issues.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Customer Support, capturing Work Requirements, troubleshooting, and guiding Field Teams.
- Perform proactive Outage Prevention and Efficient Service Restoration to maintain uninterrupted Operations.

Job Requirements
- Senior Level – Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with Advanced Knowledge and minimal supervision.
- Mentor and train Junior Staff.
- Lead, plan, and execute complex Technical Projects with accurate Estimations and Coordination.
- Act as a second‑level Escalation Point for Customer Support.
- Collaborate with Clients and Engineering Teams to design and implement repair or upgrade Solutions.
- Conduct Site Surveys, Diagnose Issues, and Develop Comprehensive Requirements.
- Optimize Workflows, Enhance System Reliability, and Deliver Cost‑Efficient Outcomes.
- Perform proactive Network Maintenance and implement Software and Hardware Upgrades.
- Evaluate and test new Complex Systems, Technologies, and Policies.
- Advanced Knowledge of IP Telephony, Network Troubleshooting, and reconfiguration.
- Proficiency in Tower Construction, Antenna Mounting, and Coax/ Waveguide Installation.
- Understanding of V‑SAT Deployment for Exploration Efforts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate Degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum Ten (10) Years of Experience in Telecommunications Operation, Repair, and Installation.
- At least Five (5) Years Experience with Desktop/Wireless Systems, Cisco Network Equipment, and Fiber/Microwave/Satellite Systems.
- At least Five (5) Years Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or related North Slope/Offshore/Remote Arctic Environments.
- Must obtain and maintain Tower Climbing and Rescue Certification within 90 Days of Hire.
- Additional Certifications such as Defensive Driving, NSTC, Hewitt Safety Training, and Cold Water Training to be obtained as required.
