Equipment Operator Lead / Journey 3

Responsibilities
  • Maintain safe and efficient airport and highway operations, including snow and ice control, pavement maintenance, runway inspections, and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Perform repairs to airport infrastructure such as signs, lighting, and fencing.
  • Support Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) operations, conduct airfield inspections, wildlife hazard management, airport security inspections, and ensure compliance with FAA and airport safety requirements.
Working Environment

Position located in Nome, AK. The role follows a rotating two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule in a remote airport environment, performing work indoors and outdoors under extreme cold, snow, wind, and other challenging Alaska conditions.

Eligibility

Only Alaska residents are eligible. A Class A Alaska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with N‑Tanker endorsement is required at time of hire. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) per federal regulations (49 CFR 383) and compliance with the DOT&PF Drug and Alcohol Policy are mandatory.
