JOB SUMMARYThe Loader Operator will operate Front-end Loaders with forks, buckets, stingers, snow pushers, scratchers, and other implements to lift, load, and unload materials and equipment as well as move soil, gravel, snow, construction supplies, and other materials as needed.
The Loader Operator is responsible for performing daily walk-around inspections of equipment, load inspections, and properly secure equipment weighing up to 125,000 pounds. Inspect all load-securing devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESOperate front-end loaders equipped with forks, buckets, stingers, snow pushers, scratchers, and other attachments to safely lift, load, transport, and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
Operations include unloading/loading pallets, skids, tubulars and different oilfield equipment onto/off of aircraft for Air Cargo Operations. Aircraft include C130 Cargo planes, CASA’s etc.
Perform frequent loading and offloading of pipe; prior experience in pipe handling is highly preferred due to its critical importance in this role.
Handle and transport soil, gravel, snow, construction materials, and other job-site resources efficiently and in accordance with operational requirements.
Conduct snow removal operations as required; previous snow removal experience is preferred.
Work effectively outdoors in cold, inclement, and adverse weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, operational records, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Continuously monitor equipment performance, promptly identify malfunctions, and report or address issues as appropriate.
Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure equipment remains in safe and efficient working condition.
Assist with rigging operations and provide clear signals to support other operators when needed; perform general roustabout duties as assigned.
Actively participate in and promote all company safety programs, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper documentation.
Clean, store, and maintain equipment in accordance with company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCEMust be authorized to work in the U.S.
A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A or B CDL is required.
A current DOT Medical Card is required.
The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2×2 rotation is required.
A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
At least five (5) years of experience operating Front-end Loaders with forks, buckets, stingers, snow pushers, and scratchers is required.
At least three (3) years of experience handling drilling materials, tubulars, pipe, palletized material, and other construction materials is required.
