Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to lead complex service operations across multiple data center locations. This role involves extensive travel (4–6 weeks at a time) followed by a scheduled rotation home
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power systems, relay testing, and troubleshooting, with the ability to mentor junior staff and act as a technical expert in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and perform complex field service operations and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Apply engineering methods to modify and redline customer drawings and schematics.
  • Conduct relay testing (electro-mechanical and solid-state), PLC programming (read/write), and testing of low and medium voltage circuit breakers.
  • Perform CT testing, SF6 gas testing, and utility paralleling system analysis.
  • Operate and interpret results from test equipment such as relay test sets, power factor testers, Hipot, Megger, phase rotation meters, and voltage/current meters.
  • Supervise on-site activities and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior associates.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in specific technical areas.
  • Work with and troubleshoot,install, comission
    switch gear, transformers, and other power deliveryequipment
    .
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5–12+ years of related experience,
    OR
    Associate’s Degree with 10 years of experience,
    OR
    Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in field service roles involving power systems and electrical testing.
  • Hands-on experience with
    switch gear, transformers, and other electrical equipment
  • Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods (4–6 weeks) with scheduled rotations home.
