Senior Accountant

Summary:

The Senior Accountant supports month-end close, project accounting, and financial reporting within a project-based environment. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, with responsibilities across general ledger, revenue recognition, cost tracking, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Support month-end close and financial reporting
• Manage project accounting, including cost tracking and billing review
• Support revenue recognition and monitor WIP, unbilled revenue, and project margins
• Partner with internal teams to resolve financial and operational issues
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting
• Assist with audits and maintain supporting documentation
• Identify process improvements and support system/reporting enhancements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger, financial reporting, and month end closing
• Exposure to project-based or service environments preferred
• Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience (Sage, or similar preferred)
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
