The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a Special Education Supervisor. This is a Full-time, 10-month (222 Days), Act 93 administrative position and is available immediately.
Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for development and supervision of appropriate educational programs for students identified as having exceptional educational needs. Plans, organizes and supervises the activities of the special ed instructional staff (teachers and paraprofessionals) for an effective delivery of appropriate diagnostic and instructional services. Provides oversight and supervision to special education program planning, implementation and evaluation.
Terms of Employment- Full Time; 10 months (222 days)
- Salary and benefits in accordance with terms of the Act 93 compensation Plan
Masters degree or Master’s equivalency from an accredited college or university in special education, required. Five years or more of successful classroom experience as a special education teacher working with students with varying special instructional needs. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skill necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
Certificationand/or Licensure Requirements
Meets the Pennsylvania Department of Education certification requirements for Special Education Teacher.
Meets the Pennsylvania Department of Education certification requirements for Supervisory Area of Certification, Supervisor of Special Education.
