Job DescriptionThe Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to serve as a Reading Specialist at Skippack Elementary School, effective immediately. The successful candidate will provide targeted, data-informed reading instrcution; collaborate with teachers and families; and support the literacy growth of diverse learners.
Certification and/or Licensure Requirements
This position requires Pennsylvania certification in Reading Specialist PK-12
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of literacy development, effective reading instruction, assessment, and intervention practices.
- Ability to use student data to plan and deliver differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate instructional technology to support literacy learning.
- Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and student-centered learning environment.
Compensation
The starting salary will be determined as outlined in the Perkiomen Valley Education Association Agreement.
Position Type: Full-time 10-month
Salary: $57,880 to $114,248 Per Year
