The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to serve as a Gifted Teacher at Middle School East, effective immediately. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for meeting the needs of gifted learners, foster meaningful student engagement, and collaborate with staff to provide enriching learning experiences that support students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
Certification and/or Licensure RequirementsThis position requires Pennsylvania certification applicable to the Middle Level.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Demonstrated knowledge ofmiddle level learners and effective instructional practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional characteristics and needs of gifted learners.
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated enrichment opportunities aligned to student needs.
- Knowledge of gifted screening, identification, GIEP development, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, administrators, families, and support staff.
- Ability to integrate technology, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving experiences into instruction.
- Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and student-centered learning environment.
The starting salary will be determined as outlined in the Perkiomen Valley Education Association Agreement.
Position Type: Full-time 10-month
Salary: $57,880 to $114,248 Per Year
