Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location & Shift

Location:

Collegeville, PA, and KOP, PA.
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday (start time flexibility).

Hourly Pay

$21.00 - $23.00

Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in science, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience
    :
    • Prior experience in logistics, laboratory support, or operations is preferred.
    • Familiarity with sample handling, chain of custody procedures, and regulated environments is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to safely lift and transport materials in accordance with established guidelines.
    • Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Technical Skills
    :
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
    • Experience using Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools preferred.
    • Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or other inventory and data management systems.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as required.
  • Experience working in a GMP‑regulated environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a laboratory and operational setting with frequent movement between work areas.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the duration of a shift.
  • Commitment to following safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solid computer proficiency, including data entry and tracking systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Collect samples from designated laboratory locations in a timely and organized manner.
  • Transport samples safely to staging and dispatch areas following established protocols.
  • Coordinate sample readiness and shipment timing to support operational deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate chain of custody documentation and ensure proper sample handling procedures.
  • Assist with operational logistics, including scheduling, tracking, and process coordination.
  • Support site coordination efforts to ensure smooth communication between lab and logistics teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
