Job Description & How to Apply Below

Blossom is hiring a fully licensed Clinical Supervisor to support and guide our growing team of associate-licensed clinicians and graduate-level students. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and holding clinical standards, while staying connected to direct client care.

If you're at a point in your career where you want your experience to matter beyond your own caseload, this role was built for you.

Compensation
  • $66,000–$75,000 salaried, based on experience
  • The same salary range as our fully licensed clinicians. Moving into supervision isn't a pay cut here.
  • Session target reduced by 150 per supervisee, as above

Most practices add supervision on top of a full caseload and call it a leadership opportunity. We take it out of the caseload instead.

Supervision is real work and it takes real time. Preparation, documentation review, and the hours where a supervisee needs you between sessions all come out of the same week as everything else. Building that into the number is the only version of this that's honest.

Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Wellness stipend
  • Technology stipend
  • CEU stipend
  • Licensure reimbursement
  • Short-term disability, fully covered by Blossom
  • Malpractice insurance covered

We also cover the employer half of payroll taxes, all EHR and office costs, billing, scheduling, credentialing, and intake.

What the Year Actually Looks Like

Your target is annual, not weekly. A slow February doesn't hurt you. A family emergency doesn't hurt you. You make it up later in the year, or you don't, and either way your paycheck is the same.

Carrying two supervises, a full week lands around 17 sessions plus your supervision hours. Add five-minute notes and team consultation and the week still ends well short of forty hours. We'd encourage you to compare that against what a forty-hour week somewhere else actually pays you per hour, and we're happy to walk through it when we talk.

The salary is for the work. The rest of the time is yours.

Time Off

We don't count vacation days, and here's why: it isn't possible to write an honest day-based policy when your schedule depends on whether clients show up and whether they cancel. So we don't pretend.

Your sessions are yours to distribute across the year. Take three weeks in August. Take every Friday through the winter. Tell us in advance so we can hold your caseload and cover your supervises, and go.

We ask that you take at least three weeks off a year. We've watched what happens to clinicians who don't, and we'd rather not watch it happen here.

Supervision & Leadership

You'll provide individual and group supervision to associate-level clinicians and master's-level practicum and internship students, supporting them in clinical skill development, ethical decision-making, case conceptualization, and professional identity.

You'll also review documentation and give feedback, participate in training and onboarding, and serve as a steady clinical resource for the team.

This is hands-on supervision. You'll be in the room with people, not managing a process from a distance.

Your Schedule

You set your hours. Your clients determine which hours work.

We don't assign you a schedule. You choose your days and build your availability around your life. Two days in the office, the rest hybrid.

What we'll tell you honestly: demand isn't spread evenly across the week. Teens come after school. Working adults come in the evening. If you build a schedule of weekday mornings, we can't fill it — and that's not us being difficult, it's just where the clients are.

Supervision hours are more flexible, and we'll work around your clinical schedule to place them. We ask for two evening slots a week, ending by 7pm. Past that, it's yours. Weekend work is not required.

Documentation

Our note template is built to take about five minutes per session. You should not be taking documentation home. We use Simple Practice.

Who Thrives Here
  • Fully independently licensed in Pennsylvania (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW). This role is based at our Collegeville office, so PA licensure is required.
  • At least five years post-graduation
  • Supervision experience, or a clear interest in building it
  • You like teaching, and you're good at telling someone something hard in a way they can use
  • You want a leadership role without leaving client work behind

We're an affirming practice. Our clinicians provide care that is welcoming to LGBTQIA+ and trans clients, and we'll ask about your experience with that in the interview.

The Clients We Serve

Children ages 5+, teens, and adults. Anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. Couples and families. LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients. BIPOC and marginalized communities. Seniors navigating aging, grief, and change.

Our approach is warm, ethical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care.

About Blossom

We're a mid-sized group practice in Collegeville, serving clients across Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Colorado, and more since 2014.
