AP Specialist (Contract) – Colleyville

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Employment Type: Contract (2-3 Months)
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Location: Colleyville, TX

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a 2-3 month contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on Accounts Payable experience and be comfortable managing the full accounts payable cycle in a fast-paced environment.

• Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Research and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and other departments to resolve payment issues.

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Accounts Payable experience is required.
• Experience managing the full Accounts Payable desk from invoice receipt through payment and reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, three-way matching, and vendor management.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Experience in supply chain, transportation, manufacturing, or logistics environments is highly preferred.
• Experience processing high-volume invoices is a plus.
