Chief Construction Inspector

The Chief Construction Inspector leads and oversees the City’s construction inspection and Right-of-Way (ROW) functions, ensuring that all public infrastructure and contractor-performed work comply with approved plans, City standards, and applicable safety requirements.

Responsibilities
  • The Chief Construction Inspector leads and oversees the City’s construction inspection and Right-of-Way (ROW) functions.
  • Ensures all public infrastructure and contractor-performed work comply with approved plans, City standards, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Supervises inspection staff, coordinating and evaluating field activities.
  • Maintains consistency and quality across a variety of public works projects, including the construction, repair, and maintenance of streets, curbs, sidewalks, drainage systems, and related infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Over 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong ability to remain flexible with schedule; work may require unusual hours, including nights, weekends, and after-hours on-call.
