Position SummaryThe Early Childhood Faculty at CCA advance and support CCA’s mission by modeling a mature Christian faith and demonstrating a deep commitment to excellence in curriculum and instruction. This role teaches all core subjects, partners with students, families, and colleagues to provide developmentally appropriate instruction grounded in a biblical worldview and aligned with CCA’s academic standards. The teacher designs and delivers a curriculum that promotes foundational knowledge and skills, intellectual curiosity, and inspires a love of learning.
Through both instruction and example, the teacher models wisdom and virtue and fosters the social, emotional, and spiritual growth in his/her students. Collaboration, organization, and excellent communication are essential components of the role.
- Intentionally integrates biblical truth and Christian virtues into curriculum, instruction, and daily interactions with students, colleagues, and the broader school community.
- Applies classical pedagogy from the Seven Laws of Teaching and The Lost Tools of Learning to foster deep engagement, cultivate student ownership of learning, and connect students meaningfully with content.
- Pursues professional growth, responds thoughtfully to feedback from students, parents, colleagues, and administrators, and utilizes student performance data to inform instruction and refine curriculum.
- Pursues excellence by inspiring students to engage deeply with what is true, good, and beautiful, in alignment with classical Christian education.
- Consistently models professionalism and respect in all interactions, upholding school policies and contributing positively to a collaborative, mission‑driven staff culture.
