PositionSummary
The Substitute Teacher supports Covenant Christian Academy’s mission by providing effective classroom supervision and instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Substitute Teacher maintains continuity of learning by implementing lesson plans, fostering a positive and orderly classroom environment, and modeling Christian character in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting the spiritual, academic, and relational development of students.

- Integrate biblical truth and Christian virtues into daily interactions with students and colleagues.
- Follow teacher lesson plans and classroom procedures with consistency and professionalism.
- Maintain an organized, productive learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when serving in a variety of grade levels, classrooms, and instructional settings.
- Communicate effectively with campus administrators and staff regarding student needs, classroom activities, and any concerns that arise during the school day.
- Cultivate a student culture grounded in reverence for God, respect for others, and responsibility for the community, reflecting the core values of a Christ-centered environment.
- Honor each student as an image-bearer of God, addressing discipline and challenges with dignity, a restorative mindset, and a commitment to parent collaboration.

- Participate in the broader ministry of CCA by contributing time, talent and treasure beyond assigned role responsibilities.

- Extend grace, mercy, and forgiveness generously, fostering a culture of peace, collaboration, reconciliation, and unity. Communicate transparently with the Head of School and leadership team, providing thoughtful perspective and constructive input.
