Description

United Recovery & Remarketing (UR2) is seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to join our growing corporate team in Collierville, Tennessee. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys leading people, and wants to play a key role in supporting a dynamic, multi‑state organization.

As Accounting Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations for a multi‑entity, privately held organization, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, develop staff, and partner with leadership to drive business success. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the monthly and annual close processes for multiple entities.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of entity‑level & consolidated financial statements.

Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and operational insights to leadership.

Multi‑Entity Accounting Oversight

Oversee accounting operations for multiple affiliated companies, including intercompany transactions and consolidations.

Ensure proper allocation of shared expenses and reconciliation of intercompany balances.

Coordinate entity‑specific reporting, tax support, and compliance requirements.

Serve as a key accounting lead in the transition from Quick Books to Net Suite.

Partner with leadership, consultants, and cross‑functional teams on ERP implementation activities, including data migration, process mapping, testing, training, and go‑live support.

Develop and improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and reporting structures within Net Suite.

Assist in establishing standardized processes and best practices across all entities.

Support ongoing Net Suite optimization, reporting enhancements, and automation initiatives after implementation.

Leadership & Team Management

Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.

Establish performance expectations and support employee development.

Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service‑oriented department culture.

Allocate workload and ensure department deadlines are consistently achieved.

Audit, Compliance & Controls

Coordinate annual tax preparation support.

Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.

Support banking, insurance, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Assist leadership with special projects as needed.

Salary is negotiable based on previous experience and skills.

Requirements

Education/Training/

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Experience managing accounting functions for multiple companies or entities required.

Prior experience in a privately held or mid‑sized company environment preferred.

Experience participating in ERP implementations or major accounting system transitions strongly preferred.

Technical

Skills:

Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Experience with or exposure to Quick Books preferred.

Experience with or exposure to Oracle Net Suite ERP strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and ERP system administration.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with multi‑location or multi‑division organizations.

Experience improving accounting workflows and implementing process automation.

Familiarity with tax, payroll, and multi‑state compliance environments.

Prior involvement in ERP conversion projects, particularly Quick Books to Net Suite migrations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, and walk/stand regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., stooping, bending kneeling)
