Job Title:

Claims Administrator

Job Description

This role supports the Safety and Risk Management (SRM) team by preventing, investigating, and managing vehicle, equipment, incident, cargo, and workers' compensation claims. The Claims Administrator accurately enters and maintains claim data in the Inland Claims System (ICS), coordinates with insurance companies, and assists with safety-related evaluations and programs for drivers. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate claims handling and in supporting company safety initiatives at the corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities

+ Assist the Safety and Risk Management (SRM) team in preventing, investigating, and managing claims, including vehicle, equipment, incident, cargo, and workers' compensation claims.

+ Set up all vehicle, equipment accident, incident, and cargo claims in the Inland Claims System (ICS).

+ Enter, maintain, and update claims in ICS, including workers' compensation claims as needed.

+ Assist with claim subrogation activities as directed.

+ Report claims to insurance companies as needed, following established procedures and timelines.

+ Assist with accident and incident reviews, including preparing and issuing accident/incident review letters.

+ Conduct driver safety evaluations as needed and report findings to the Claims Manager and EVP SRM, including ordering current Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) and related documentation.

+ Process quarterly performance bonuses for company drivers based on safety records per quarter.

+ Set up and distribute driver accident reporting kits to ensure proper and timely reporting of incidents.

+ Process Annual Safe Driver Awards reports, ensuring accurate tracking and recognition of driver safety performance.

+ Process Owner Operator escrow release notices in accordance with company policies and procedures.

+ Provide general administrative support to the SRM and claims functions as needed.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to support claims management and safety initiatives.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in claims processing, including setting up, entering, and maintaining claim files.

+ Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry into the Inland Claims System (ICS) or similar claims systems.

+ Strong administrative support skills, including organizing documentation and managing multiple tasks.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.

+ Good written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear letters and reports.

+ Ability and willingness to learn and receive additional job training.

+

Experience with collections or related administrative processes.

+ College degree preferred.

+ Trucking or transportation industry experience preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with claims subrogation processes.

+ Experience working with driver safety programs or evaluations.

+ Ability to interpret and work with Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs).

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

+ Ability to manage confidential information related to claims and personnel.

+ Capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Comfort working collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as SRM leadership and claims management.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at the corporate headquarters. The position operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment and technology, including computers, claims systems such as the Inland Claims System (ICS), and Microsoft Office applications. Work typically follows standard business hours, with a focus on timely response to claims and coordination with internal teams and external insurance partners.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Collierville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
