This part-time position is responsible for tutoring elementary students. This position will utilize the current adopted ELA and Math curriculum as well as additional approved supplemental materials to support students in grade-level standards tutoring two times per week for a minimum of 30 minutes per session. Tutoring will occur in a 1:3 ratio and will allow for 12 weeks of work per semester for qualifying students.
Tutors will be available at a maximum of 4 days per week, 6 hour per day for a maximum of 24 hours a week. Tutoring sessions will run for 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the spring. Tutors will be compensated at a rate of $35 per hour. Preference will be given to certified teachers and retired teachers.
Tutors will be required to attend training be Sept. 9 from 9a.m.
-12p.m. in the general conference room.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Tutors will be available at a maximum of four days per week, 6 hour per day for a maximum of 24 hours a week (Each qualifying student will be tutored twice a week for a minimum of thirty minutes per session)
Tutors will have a tutor-student ratio of 1:3.
Tutors must be available to provide tutoring services at a rate of twelve weeks per semester (twelve weeks in the fall and twelve weeks in the spring)
Tutors will tutor students for the purpose of improving their success in academics through the utilization of current adopted ELA and Math curriculum as well as additional approved supplemental materials.
Tutors will manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment
Tutors will be required to attend two days of training before tutoring will begin.
Tutors will reports incidents (e.g. fights, suspected child abuse, suspected substance abuse, harassment, zero tolerance offenses etc.) for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment and adhering to state law and board policies.
Tutors will respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to certified teachers and retired teachers.
