St. George’s Independent School seeks a passionate, creative and hard-working individual who is energized by work with families to serve as a part-time religion instructor, beginning August 3, 2026.

Duration: Annual letter of agreement

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience
  • Previous work with children in an educational setting
  • Two or more years of teaching experience is preferred
Skills and Experience
  • Teach lower school religion classes for students in prekindergarten through grade 5
  • Develop engaging lessons aligned with the school’s Episcopal mission
  • Introduce students to biblical stories, Christian traditions and the liturgical calendar, prayer and worship, character education, and service learning
  • Foster an age-appropriate understanding of other world religions
  • Serve as a leader, model and mentor in the area of spiritual growth and character development
  • Value and create strong communication and partnership with families
Physical Requirements

Regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear, and interact with campus visitors as well as others who telephone. Must have the ability to understand and present materials and communicate with constituents and co-workers in a harmonious manner.
