- Design and execute recruitment strategies; write/update compliant job descriptions and postings
- Source candidates through professional networks, schools, agencies, and job fairs
- Screen, evaluate, and interview candidates with hiring managers
- Manage pre-employment checks (references, background, driving records, drug screens)
- Coordinate onboarding, new hire paperwork, and orientations
- Keep candidates, hiring managers, and HR Manager informed throughout the process
- Ensure hiring and employment processes comply with company, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain affirmative action and EEO reporting
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and records
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll and benefits administration
- Support workers' compensation program and recordkeeping
- Assist HR Manager with employee relations issues, investigations, and special projects
- Support Sr. HR Generalist on payroll, benefits, and compliance tasks
- Serve as HR point-of-contact for all employees
- Coordinate company-wide activities (meetings, training, holiday events)
- Provide strong internal/external customer service
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

- H.S. diploma or the equivalent
- Related HR work experience in a fast-paced environment, or the equivalent in work and education
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with co-workers and candidates
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and prioritize workload
- Ability to solve problems independently and deliver results
- Proven organizational skills with an attention to detail

- Willingness to work outside scheduled hours occasionally, in order to get the job done
- General knowledge of recruiting processes and interviewing techniques for exempt and non-exempt positions
- Knowledge of state/federal labor laws and equal employment/affirmative action laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google products
- Directly-related recruiting, screening and interviewing experience
