Job Summary

Orgill is seeking a skilled, experienced and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to lead complex IT projects within our dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies, enterprise applications, software development, and cloud computing technologies.

The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources and schedules, and facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project outcomes. They will have a keen instinct for moving efforts forward in a collaborative and productive manner, and will not hesitate to weigh in to assist teams where needed. Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate projects for technical solutions, including enterprise software implementations, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, platform enhancements, upgrades, data updates, integrations and others, using situationally-appropriate life cycles and methodologies.
  • Gather and analyze requirements through effective requirements gathering techniques; translate business needs into technical specifications with the support of technical teams and SMEs.
  • Develop high-level project plans and ensure scopes and approaches are fully understood by all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with vendors, internal technical teams and SMEs to develop work levels of effort, cost estimates and project budgets. Ensure vendor SOWs will be effective and beneficial.
  • Direct and monitor teams’ efforts on a regular basis. Manage schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation using project scheduling tools for tracking progress.
  • Identify, track, measure, and report on key project milestones. Ensure systems of record for project reporting are kept current.
  • Manage and monitor project risks with appropriate responses and contingency plans, including disaster recovery strategies; ensure IT governance compliance.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams, business units, and executive leadership, to ensure transparency and stakeholder engagement; prepare status reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Employ Change Management methods to ensure effective stakeholder transitions through change journeys with minimal impact.
  • Coordinate with IT Infrastructure and Operations teams to ensure seamless transition of technology solutions into Orgill’s technology ecosystems.
  • Ensure adherence to project management and enterprise architecture best practices.
  • Promote IT governance standards and compliance throughout project life cycles; support organizational initiatives for IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
Success Factors:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A proven track record of successfully planning, implementing and deploying technical projects, including enterprise implementations.
  • Conversant and practiced in up-to-date Project Management Life Cycle methods and frameworks, with expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management practices, project artifacts and documentation standards.
  • Strong proficiency in project scheduling and issue tracking tools, as well as office applications such as Google Workspace.
  • Solid understanding of information technology architecture, platforms and concepts, including SDLC, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, databases and integrations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex technical issues, and interpret/convey them to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams; strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels; adept at negotiation and conflict resolution.
