Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

Coverage Area: Collierville, TN

Schedule: 2 nonconsecutive weekdays, daytime hours — you choose the days!

Compensation: W2

• Act as the Skilled Nursing Facility’s leading provider of internal medicine services.
• Collaborate with the facility’s interdisciplinary team and physicians, serving as a day-to-day clinical leader.
• Collaborate with the entire facility’s patient population—short and long-term residents—overseeing their day-to-day care with the assistance of nursing staff and guidance from medical directors and attending physicians.
• Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
• Communicate with attending physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care.
• Be comfortable and proficient with documentation and CPT coding.
• Conduct monthly stability visits for long-term residents.
• Evaluate patients exhibiting changes in condition.
• Advance Care Planning.

• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Active license and DEA number.
• Minimum one-year experience in a Skilled Nursing setting (preferred).
• Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting.
• Master's Degree (required).
