Your Role as the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Assisted Living community, you’ll have a meaningful impact on residents’ daily lives by providing compassionate, high-quality clinical care and supporting a strong caregiving team.
SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care, supports resident wellness, and collaborates with caregivers and leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and resident-centered care within an Assisted Living environment.
This role may also be known as:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Assisted Living Nurse, Wellness Nurse (LPN), Memory Care Nurse (LPN), or Resident Care Nurse.
What You’ll Do- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
- Support and guide caregiving staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing monitoring of changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
- Maintain professional relationships with physicians, office staff, pharmacies, and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with the Regional Nurse Consultant and community leadership to support clinical best practices
- Support orientation and training of care team members as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote a safe, respectful, and home-like environment for residents

- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare partners
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for senior care and resident advocacy
- Alignment with Americare’s mission, values, and culture
- Desire to contribute to a positive, caring community environment
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
