Frost Bake Shop is a local and family owned business that started in 2004 by the Kloos family. Frost opened its first retail location in 2013. As of 2022, we have three retail locations in the greater Memphis area. We specialize in cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and cheesecakes. We also make customized desserts for weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations. We believe in being open every day, having every menu item every day of the week, and having something taste as good as it looks!

Job Summary:

The purpose of this job is to deliver exceptional guest service in a Frost Bake Shop retail location during the day time hours. Pay range: $12 - $14/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures outstanding guest service by modeling exemplary service delivery; includes acknowledging every guest, answering the store phone in a timely manner, maintaining exceptional standards for cleanliness and product quality, possessing solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
• Handles guest payments with accuracy and discretion, protecting credit card information at all times.
• Maintains appropriate stock levels in front cases, staging area & refrigerators; ensures quality of products stocked.
• Assists with supply inventory by assembling & branding packaging.
• Completes cleaning tasks on a continuous basis to include washing of dishes, wiping of tables, chairs, front doors, cases, windows, restroom, and service area; refers to and works on the weekly cleaning list for additional duties when guest traffic is slow.
• May perform other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

• Ability to develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other employees.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal/external customers.
• Strong organizational skills for the performance of a variety of complex administrative duties.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Accuracy and attention to detail; logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Proficiency in standard software applications including and with standard office equipment.

Environment &

Working Conditions:

• This job operates in a climate-controlled retail environment with occasional exposure to a 0-degree walk-in. Appropriate cold-weather gear is provided at each location.

Physical Demands:

• Requires:
  Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing.
• Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
