As part of the R&D team, the Analytical Chemist will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to analyze and evaluate chemical samples. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for chemistry, a keen eye for detail, and a strong academic background in the field. To be successful in this role, the Analytical Chemist must have an in-depth understanding of analytical chemistry techniques, advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments, and the ability to interpret and analyze data;
as well as strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Perform GC, HPLC, and ICP analyses
- Maintain laboratory instruments and work spaces in accordance with quality and safety guidelines
- Perform instrument calibrations and routine troubleshooting
- Analyze experimental data, prepare clear reports and findings for multiple teams
- Maintain accurate lab records and ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from a nationally or regionally accredited institution
- 1+ year of relevant, hands-on analytical laboratory experience, through academic research, internships, and/or industrial roles
- Working knowledge of HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, FTIR, ICP-OES, and wet chemistry techniques
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office and computer systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions;
Must be able to troubleshoot and investigate work - Must have strong organization, project management, problem-solving, and time management skills
