Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED required
- Five (5) years’ HVAC experience, with substantial experience in data centers, mission‑critical facilities, or industrial environments
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong hands‑on expertise with precision cooling systems and large‑scale mechanical infrastructure
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC systems under time‑sensitive, high‑risk conditions
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, control diagrams, and sequences of operation
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, documentation discipline, and operational excellence
- Ability to work around rotating equipment, elevated noise levels, and temperature‑controlled environments
- Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required
- Willingness to participate in rotational on‑call schedules and respond to after‑hours emergencies
- Non‑covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Knowledge of redundancy models (N, N+1, 2N) for mechanical systems, preferred
Performs repair and maintenance tasks for Fed Ex Freight facilities and facilities related equipment; to maintain all heating and air conditioning to national, state or local codes.
