Overview

- Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose the cause of malfunction and complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
- Road‑test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
- Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time‑clocking procedures.
- Document work performed on the repair order and document test procedures/results.
- Maintain an inventory of normal mechanic tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels, punches, and other necessary tools) and return special tools to the proper place.
- Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
- Return customer vehicles clean and in the same condition as before service.
- Complete all required training, including acquiring and maintaining manufacturer and ASE certifications.
- Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management, and review technical bulletins and other publications.
- Communicate constructively with dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards per departmental policies.
- Adhere to work schedules, breaks and departure times as designated by management.
- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills
- Competency to perform repairs in Lube and Maintenance, Engine, Suspension/Steering, Brake, and optionally Heating and A/C without supervision
- Manufacturer certification in all listed areas
- Minimum of 1 ASE certification (ideally an ASE Master Technician)
- Customer Pay proficiency level greater than 100%
- Three to five years of automotive technical experience
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in the state of residence
