Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate transportation solutions to meet customer service and delivery expectations
- Schedule, route, and dispatch drivers for timely pickups and deliveries
- Communicate shipment details, pickup and delivery times, and special handling requirements with internal teams, drivers, agents, and customers
- Adjust routes and dispatch plans as conditions change to maintain service levels
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched calls, routes, delivery and pickup times, and route changes
- Review driver logs, arrival times, and dispatched activity for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and repair schedules and coordinate as needed
- Track customer shipping schedules, service issues, and complaints
- Ensure driver compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, company policies, and applicable tariffs
- Maintain working knowledge of DOT requirements, industry updates, and policies
- Collaborate with agencies to coordinate hauling opportunities, overflow movements, containers, and trailer utilization
- Develop, track, and report operational metrics and performance data
- Identify opportunities to improve dispatch processes, procedures, and best practices
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of household goods (HHG) van planning experience
- Proven ability to plan routes, schedule drivers, and manage dispatch operations effectively
- Strong customer service background with the ability to manage customer expectations
- Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations and transportation industry requirements
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform under pressure

Salary: $50K-$55K (DOE)
