Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Housekeepers are expected to perform a variety of maintenance duties pertaining to the overall operation of Gateway Convention Center. This position requires a reliable, detail-oriented, flexible, and self-starter. This position is part-time.

Minimum Qualifications

16 years of age or older.

Sweep and mop floors. Vacuum and steam-clean carpets.

Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.

Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.

Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.

Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants daily.

Operate an assortment of equipment including buffers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, and others as needed.

Identify and report possible repairs.

Must be self-motivated and be productive with limited supervision.

Ability to work staggered shift assignments as necessary including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to walk, run, stand, sit, and complete a variety of motor skills

* Ability to walk and/or stand on concrete for much of your shift

* Ability to bend to the floor and reach overhead

* Ability to lift and carry 30-70 pounds regularly to chest height

Pay Rate

This position is $15.50 per hour.
