Route Driver

Job Summary

The Route Driver is responsible for representing the company while making deliveries and picking up freight. The route will move to St. Louis, MO in September 2026.

• Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM – completion of route (10–15 hrs OT may be expected)
• Voluntary OT on weekends as needed
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hrs per week
• Starting wage: $20.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or willingness to learn one
• Possess good customer service skills and can work independently

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record that meets company standards

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, and move freight on/off the vehicle
• Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable goods, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
