Logistics Senior Analyst - Inter-Plant Trailer and Material Transfer

What we are looking for

The Logistics Senior Analyst – Inter-Plant Trailer and Material Transfer directs the strategic coordination and optimization of material movement between Hillphoenix facilities. This role is responsible for the independent oversight of inter‑plant trailer logistics, utilizing data‐driven analytics to evaluate operational efficiency and maintain the integrity of the supply chain. The Senior Analyst exercises autonomous decision‑making to resolve complex inventory variances and manage critical vendor performance, ensuring seamless material flow in support of high‑level production objectives.

you will be responsible for in this role
  • Strategic Planning & Coordination:
    Design and authorize daily inter‑plant shipment schedules to meet fluctuating production requirements. Independently evaluate distribution center movements to mitigate potential delivery risks.
  • Operational Oversight:
    Determine the necessity and priority of trailer movement requests; authorize and validate documentation to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
  • Inventory Governance:
    Manage and reconcile complex inventory discrepancies. Conduct independent investigations into variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership:
    Serve as the primary decision‑maker and liaison between Materials, Production, and Quality teams to resolve critical material handoff issues.
  • Vendor Management:
    Serve as the primary point of accountability and escalation for contracted trailer dispatch teams. Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate service alignments to maintain operational continuity.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    Analyze key operational metrics to formulate daily and weekly performance reports. Provide expert recommendations to management for process improvements and waste reduction.
  • Compliance & Safety Management:
    Establish and enforce operational standards for packaging and transport, ensuring all activities align with corporate safety and quality benchmarks.
What are the basic qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5-8 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, demonstrating a track record of independent project management and operational analysis.
