Project Engineer - Manufacturing Administration
Job Description
This role combines project engineering and project management support with a strong focus on administrative coordination for manufacturing projects. The position is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role who can manage equipment orders, support project managers, maintain documentation, and contribute to the smooth execution of manufacturing and packaging initiatives within a growing, well-funded organization.
Responsibilities
+ Create and submit orders for manufacturing equipment according to predetermined timelines and requests from the global team, under the oversight and direction of Project Managers.
+ Create and submit additional equipment and project-related orders at the discretion of the Project Manager.
+ Generate and process GR invoices as directed by the Project Manager, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
+ Assist Project Managers in coordinating meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking clear and organized meeting notes.
+ Support Project Managers with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks to keep projects on schedule and aligned with objectives.
+ Help prepare project reports, consolidating data and insights to support decision-making and project tracking.
+ Update and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports using information provided by Project Managers, ensuring data is current and reliable.
+ Support the onboarding of new team members by assisting with documentation, access, and process orientation.
+ Maintain document control by cleaning up, organizing, and managing SharePoint files and ensuring consistent file structures and naming conventions.
+ Perform basic data entry and reporting related to equipment status and project timelines, ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
+ Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to align equipment orders, documentation, and reporting with project engineering requirements.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting the application of Lean Manufacturing principles within project administration.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of experience in a project engineering or project management role within a manufacturing environment.
+ Engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience with manufacturing project administration, including managing equipment orders and documentation.
+ Mechanical engineering knowledge, particularly as it relates to manufacturing and project engineering.
+ Understanding of packaging manufacturing, packaging engineering, or packaging design processes.
+ Lean Manufacturing knowledge with proven execution and practical application in a manufacturing setting.
+ Ability to generate and manage GR invoices and other project-related documentation with attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and capturing accurate meeting notes.
+
Experience with document control and file management within platforms such as SharePoint.
+ Strong data entry and basic reporting skills, particularly related to equipment status and project timelines.
+ Effective communication and collaboration skills to support Project Managers and cross-functional teams.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical engineering background with exposure to design and project engineering activities.
+ Experience in packaging manufacturing, packaging engineering, or packaging design environments.
+ Associate's degree or higher in engineering or a related field, or appropriate experience as a substitute.
+ Familiarity with global project teams and working with stakeholders across different locations.
+ Comfort working with digital collaboration and document management tools such as SharePoint.
+ Interest in contributing to the development of new manufacturing capabilities, including molding activities.
+ Ability to support onboarding processes and help integrate new team members into project workflows.
Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing plant environment that currently focuses on packing operations and employs approximately 700 people. The organization is in a growth phase and is developing a new plant that will include all stages of manufacturing, with full capabilities planned for 2027. As part of this expansion, a molding activity department will be built out, creating opportunities to support new processes and equipment.
