Job Title: Maintenance Technician III
Location: Richmond, VA
Sign on bonus of $2,500.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, as well as the physical structure of an industrial facility, by performing the following duties.
- Install, maintain, inspect, and initiate repairs and correction of machinery and equipment.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and electrical and electronic components of automated machinery.
- Locate parts and prices to effect repairs, and complete required forms for purchases.
- Use the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment.
- Operate various tools including saws, drills, bench tools, and hand tools.
- Observe and inspect machinery and facilities, and make recommendations for changes in procedures and structures to ensure safety, increase productivity, and improve effectiveness; work closely with supervision and management and demonstrate the ability to be a team leader.
- Be a self-starter and able to work with or without supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Operate forklift or boom lift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years in Industrial Mechanical/Machinist roles
- 2+ years in machine-based Industrial Electrical/Electronics
Physical requirements include standing, using hands to operate tools, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Overtime and extended hours may be required.
