The Union Maintenance Technician is a self-motivated team member who works to maintain and keep production machinery operating properly so that the site can continue on its mission for a safer, healthier, and more productive world.
- This person is a team player who works with others to solve production machinery challenges and contribute ideas for long-term sustainable improvements.
- Maintain & repair production machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities (electrical, mechanical and electronic), even when prints are not available.
- Maintain & repair electronic controls on production and facility equipment.
- Disassemble equipment and repair/replace necessary parts.
- Test the machine following a repair to ensure the repair is complete.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as required.
- Order replacement parts.
- Follow blueprints and engineering specifications in the repair process.
- Maintain a clean work area and clean up after completing repairs.
- Provide training to new employees added to the Maintenance Department.
- Create/Close work orders for maintenance and/or machine shop.
- Support ISO 9001, 14001 and Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance.
- Operate all equipment in the prescribed manner and report any safety concerns to supervisor.
- Maintain awareness of company policies and ISO objectives.
- Support the company’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Associate Degree in Electronics or Journeyman Electrician.
- Experience in a production environment (1–3 years).
- Mechanical experience and/or skills.
- Experience with PLC and industrial equipment controls is a must.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented attitude with ownership and problem-solving mindset.
- Proven problem-solving experience and ability to think outside the box.
- Resourceful with the ability to bring quick resolutions to challenging situations.
- Experience with hand tools (snips, pliers, tweezers, screwdrivers, wrenches, welders, air knife, blades).

- Starting pay of $41.15/hr and top pay of $45.15/hr (after training)
- Company provided tools
- 8 hr shifts (12am-8am, 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am)
- Breaks included in the 8 hr shift
- Time and a half for Saturday, double time for Sunday
- $175 safety shoe reimbursement
- Up to 5 weeks vacation (based on tenure)

The ability to work a shift schedule is required since we are a 24/5 manufacturing facility.
