The Team Lead provides leadership and technical direction to a team of hourly production associates, ensuring that team members are working safely and productively, and meeting defined production and quality metrics.

• Lead a team of hourly production associates, ensuring safety and productivity.
• Provide leadership and assist in job set‑up.
• Direct daily activities in the work area to ensure daily production goals are met.
• Train and coach associates on manufacturing practices, quality practices, and safety procedures.
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information.
• Identify proper hand tools for forming crates.
• Communicate job status between shifts and ensure continuation of work in progress.
• Coordinate with supervisor for associate vacation requests.
• Hold monthly safety meetings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Understand procedures for ordering metal, locations of parts, and contacts for order notification.
• Set example for proper use of all safety equipment and apparel.
• Have working understanding of all basic safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Understand all attendance and human resource policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical aids.
• Capability to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, squat, or kneel as required.

Work performed in a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
