This role is for a TIG Welder II working in South Chesterfield, VA.
PositionJob Title: TIG Welder II
Location: South Chesterfield, VA
We are seeking a TIG Welder II who will be responsible for laying out, fitting, cutting, and welding to fabricate components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and shelving, among others.
What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role- Cuts aluminum or plastic into various lengths according to work orders. May use tools such as radial saw and miter saw.
- Deburr aluminum using an electric sander.
- Shapes edges of aluminum according to work order specifications using a punch press.
- Punches holes on plastic or aluminum according to specifications on work orders using punch presses.
- Ability to TIG and MIG weld thin aluminum extrusions.
- Maintain an orderly and safe work area per company procedures.
- Read and interpret work orders, documents, drawings and procedures.
- Develop prototype samples as needed to support engineering projects.
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year certificate from college or technical school or related experience
- Two years related experience and/or training equivalent
Job Requirements
- Productivity: support output of 140+ frames per 8-hour shift (1 welder)
- Pass internal welding certification test
- 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Basic fabrication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships
- Understanding of 6S
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, including decimals and fractions; read drawings and use calculating tools as required
- Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented and adaptable to change
