Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions at the facility, following SOPs for medical emergencies and donor transport to emergency care.
• Refer unacceptable findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues, donor safety, and eligibility.
• Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER; refer to EHS guidance for employee incidents.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate level nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfil state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 – $33.44

The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. The actual hourly wage will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.
