Colonial Heights, VA 23834. American Health Care has an immediate career opportunity for an LPN - PRN Travel Pool and love to travel. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced professional to make a positive difference in the geriatric population. Travel expenses will be reimbursed beyond an agreed mileage limit.

• Participate in the direct care of residents and supervise all non-professional personnel in the Nursing Department.
• Administer, stock, and dispose of medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure CNAs are properly administering services and there is adequate CNA coverage on each shift.
• Contribute to a team environment and support residents' lives.

• Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program
• Must have an active LPN license in the state of Virginia
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility
• Ability to make independent decisions
